COLOR: [kuhl-er]  noun

the quality of an object or substance with respect to light reflected by the object, usually determined visually by measurement of hue, saturation, and brightness of the reflected light. The presence of color is relaxing, entertaining in a learning environment for kids.

HOME: [hohm] noun

the place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household. Where is home? A temporarily permanent residence. School as home, school as escape.

KNOWLEDGE: [nol-ij]  noun

facts, information, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject. School is a place of knowledge. Knowledge brings hope.

PARTICIPATION: [pahr-tis-uh-pey-shuh n]  noun

the action of taking part in something. Kids should feel like they are part of the construction of the building.

SAFETY: [seyf-tee] noun

the state of being safe; freedom from the occurrence or risk of injury, danger, or loss. Safe from outside the camp, war zones, safe from violence and sexual abuse.
